Steel Stack & Chimney Fabrication
Self-supporting steel stacks in rolled shells with flanged joints, fabricated, blasted, painted and banded for dispatch to refinery and plant sites.
What we fabricate
- Self-supporting steel stacks in rolled shell segments with flanged joints
- Chimneys for refinery and process plants, with stiffened base flanges
- Platforms and ladders fabricated with the shells
How we build them
Shell plates are profile-cut on CNC and rolled on our plate bending machine (up to 25 mm thick and 2,500 mm wide), then longitudinal and circumferential seams are welded and flanges fitted for bolted joints at site. Each segment is blasted in our 12 × 6 × 5 m booth, painted with airless spray, checked for film thickness and adhesion, then banded and loaded onto trailers, using a tandem lift for the heaviest shells.
Where they have gone
We have fabricated stack shells for IOCL, including the Bongaigaon refinery, and a chimney for BORL that has since been erected at site. Stacks were also part of more than 4,000 tons of complex structures supplied to Bhilai Engineering Corporation over five years.
