Silos, Hoppers, Flue Ducts & Gas Mains
Plate-work in stiffened steel: silo cones and bunkers, crusher hoppers, large flanged flue ducts and coke-oven gas collecting mains.
What we fabricate
- Silo cones and bunkers with radial gussets and stiffeners
- Crusher hoppers, including pyramid hoppers, and crusher stands
- Flue and gas ducts: large flanged sections with internal bracing
- Gas collecting mains for coke-oven batteries
- Chutes for material handling
How we build them
This is heavy plate-work. Plates are CNC-cut, rolled or pressed (600 MT hydraulic press), and assembled with stiffeners in bays long enough to build large duct sections and cones in one piece. Flange faces and internal bracing are checked before blasting and painting, and pieces are sized for road transport to site.
Where they have gone
We have built silo cones for NTPC projects through BHEL, and ducts for BHEL Trichy since 2012. Ducts and gas mains were part of more than 4,000 tons of structures supplied to Bhilai Engineering Corporation, including a gas collecting main for Coke Oven Battery 3 at SAIL Rourkela Steel Plant.
